I trained as a journalist and spent 15 years working in television including 10 as a producer at the BBC.
As a producer on Blue Peter, I spent my days sifting through the mountain of press releases and ideas coming my way and finding the great stories. Charities were continually sending me press releases, but the one question I always asked was, ‘What’s the story?’
After working in production I moved to the BBC Academy, the largest and most prestigious training department in the UK media sector, running an innovative project to help BBC staff learn digital media skills by working with charities and other non profits and creating films, podcasts and websites for them.
I left the BBC to set up mediastories and now love using my passion for storytelling to help organisations increase their impact by using digital media.
I recently achieved a distinction in my Masters in digital media
